Our Curriculum

At Archbishop Wake Primary School, we offer a broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum, which builds on the knowledge, understanding and skills of all children, whatever their starting point. The curriculum incorporates the statutory requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and the Primary National Curriculum 2014 and other experiences and opportunities which best meet the learning and developmental needs of the pupils in our school. As a school community, we have identified four key areas that drive our curriculum. These are Aspiration, Community, Inclusion and Language. These along with our vision statement of ‘Aim high, believe; Fly high, achieve’ are what underpin our curriculum intent. It is important at Archbishop Wake that the curriculum considers the development of the whole child as well as academic success.
