The Friends of Archbishop Wake; working together to enhance the School (and Nursery) Life for Our Children  

Do you want to enhance your child(ren) 's school life? Have you got creative fundraising ideas? Would you like to meet new people and invest in the school community? Yes!! Amazing, because you are already a member of the Friends of Archbishop Wake!

As a member of the Friends community, you are vital to the charity’s success, as it strives to enhance the school life of every child who attends ABW. Through fundraising events, like fairs, discos, tuck-shops and bingo, the Friends raise the essential funds needed to improve the school’s facilities.

The funds raised by the Friends have previously been used to support the building of the Timber Trail and the Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA). The project currently being supported is the Outdoor Play and Learning (OPAL) programme, which focuses on enhancing break time by making play more adventurous and enjoyable for all the children.

The Friends also provide financial support each year to the Breakfast Club, Forest School, and the school generally by funding necessary equipment or extra activities like the annual visit from Santa and the Pantomime.
