They will broadcast workshops on our YouTube channel throughout the day, including:

10am Body Percussion, with Ollie Turner from Beat Goes On.

11.30am Junk Samba Bonanza, with Pete and John from the DMS team,

2.30pm Dorset Big Sing - Let's all join together for some vocal games and a Big Sing with 'Lean on Me'.

Access in school, or tune in and take part at home! Find something to play as a junk Samba instrument - see suggestions on the attachment. Enjoy!

Week beginning: 18.5.2020

Hello Year 6,
Firstly, we want to say a big well done to everyone who completed the Lockdown SATs and we very were pleased that you enjoyed them!

In the last few weeks, we have seen a good increase in the amount of tasks being completed and the amount of points being gained on your online log ins - keep this up! This week there is a special TTRockstar battle against all the other DSAT schools and a TTRockstars Guinness World Record attempt-  have a look on the Maths sub-page for more details.

For this week's home learning there are new task ideas in the English, Maths, Science, History, Art, French and RE sub-pages for you to have a go at, with English, Maths and Science having their usual MUST, SHOULD, COULD tasks.  Don't forget to share your work with us through email or via the blog as we love to see what you have been up to. There is also now a new sub-page for Open the Book where you will find a video by Ken this week. As always, do not feel you need to print the work unless you want to. All work can be completed on paper, in a work book or on the computer - whatever you find easiest!

All that remains to say is, have a lovely week and please feel free to contact us on the class emails if you need anything!

Best wishes,
Miss Lanning, Mrs Barber and Mrs Smith

As always, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email us.

Please remember to look out for the 'must-do' English and Maths tasks as well.

The tasks don't need to be printed and can be recorded on paper.

Keep blogging,

Year 6 Team

Week Beginning: 4.5.20

Hello Year 6,

We hope that you are all well. We have updated your home learning for another week.

We've been very impressed with your efforts so far - keep it up! We're very proud of you.

Keep trying to work through the 'MUST DO' English and Maths tasks.  These are the most important activities that we would like you to aim to complete.

In addition to this, it would be great if you would like to complete some other activities that interest you. Please try to do some of the 'SHOULD' activities and then, if you would like to do more, we  have 'COULD' tasks.

Remember Friday 8th May is the 75th anniversary of VE Day, please find below some activities for you to try.

Best wishes,

Mrs Barber, Miss Lanning and Mrs Smith

Home Learning Week Beginning 27.4.2020

We hope you enjoyed the home learning we set you last week. You will see that there are some differences from last week.

This week there are some activities that are 'MUST' activities. These are the most important activities that we would like you to aim to complete. Try to do some of the 'SHOULD' activities and then, if you would like to do more, we have 'COULD' tasks. Please find this week's tasks in the sub pages below, just like last week.

We love hearing all about what you are doing so please continue sending your photos and thoughts to the class blog.

We are available if you want to ask us anything, just use these emails.

Also, we appreciate that lots of you do not have access to a printer. The Power Points do not need printing as they are just for reference. Similarly, you do not need to print any worksheets as you can record your answers on paper.

Best wishes,

Mrs Barber, Miss Lanning and Mrs Smith
