Looking at Wildlife - Birds (Could do tasks)
This week, just like David Attenborough, you are going to study wildlife closely. Use the pictures attached, or birds you can see outside.
- Play a Barrier Game: Using a range of images of birds from the Birds Photo Pack, play a barrier game with a partner. One partner has to describe as the other draws the bird being described.
- Compare Two Birds:
What are the differences between the two?
How would you describe their shapes?
- Complete an observational drawing in pencil using a photo of a bird. (The important part is the looking. The more looking at the object, the more detailed the drawing will be.)
Try to use different types of marks e.g. hard, soft, light, heavy, jagged, smooth…
- Extension: Find out more about your bird’s habitat and diet using books and the internet.
